MINUTES: APPLETREE POINT SHOREOWNERS ASSOCIATION

62^nd Annual meeting held on Sunday, August 26, 2018

AGENDA:

1.   Secretary’s 2017 report.  Minutes found on online were approved.    (http://appletreepoint.blogspot.com)

2.   Treasurer’s report. Chris Campbell shared that we have $8,980.46 in our Treasury.

Beach information:   $3,500 (sale of tractor) minus 1,000 (raking the beach).

Remaining:  $2,500

3.   Road report: Chris Reed and Chris Campbell reported that the dimensions for the road were wider. The shoulder was weak and trash haulers got stuck.

4.   Beach report: Cottonwoods were still growing on the Ode’s beach and more weeds are in the water this summer.

      Beach Committee: Stan Warren, Chris Reed, Jamie Coffrin, Kit Ardell and Ty Danco will meet next summer to assess the beach before the August Annual meeting.

5.   Dues: Much discussion! A motion was made by Shanta Eastman to assess each property $25. The money will go into the general fund for the beach and road needs. Doug Campbell seconded. Kit Ardell and Shanta Eastman will write the Association a letter explaining our mission and the benefits from the dues before our next annual meeting in August.

6.   New Business:

·         Should we bury power lines on the dirt road?

·         Does the number of fire hydrants meet code?

No action was proposed on either subject.

·         A motion was made and approved to hold the annual meeting next year on the first Sunday in August.

·         A motion was made and approved to create a mission-statement for the Association. Kit Ardell and Shanta Eastman offered to write one up for the next meeting.

7.   Elections: Ty Danco made a motion and Nancy Furlong seconded to approve the current board members for another year.

Secretary: Andy Kenney

Additional Board members: Kit Ardell, Shanta Eastman, Doug Campbell and Amanda Robbins

 Kit Ardell moved to adjourn the meeting and Ian Bleakney seconded at 11:11 am.
