Appletree Point Shoreowner Association Meeting

 August 22^nd, 2023

 The Association held its Annual Meeting on August 22, 2023 at 7:00 at 147 Appletree Point Road.

 Time: 7:00 pm to meet neighbors and socialize. The business meeting started at 7:18 pm. 

Appetizers and Drinks were provided by the hosts.

 Agenda:

Introductions of the members present. Lars Larson and his sister, Christine, have sold their family home on the Point and said their goodbyes. 

 Rolly Delfausse of 195 Appletree Point Road, invited all to attend his families annual Labor Day Breakfast, from 9-11:00, to be held on the lawn this year in lieu of the high water and no beach!

 Treasurer’s Report:

 Chris Campbell read the report. We have $10,113.29 in our budget. She explained how the members living off of the dirt road pay for the road’s upkeep separately. Lars Larson made a motion that we not ask for dues this year. Seconded by Helene Langevin and approved.

 Beach Report: 

Mike Furlong shared his thoughts that our water quality was good even though Leddy Beach had been closed a few times this year. Strathmore tests regularly and if individuals want to test the quality themselves, test kits are available through the Department of Health.

Andy Kenney suggested that if the water is high again next year and beach debris needs to be removed, perhaps we could dispose of it at the end of our driveways and arrange for the city to take it away.

 Road report:

Burlington Electric has finished putting in new lines.

 New business: Rachel Loretto offered to put together a private Facebook group for our Association.

 Elections:

Liz Miller made a motion for the present board to remain in place. It was approved. The board is as follows:

President-Jeff Haig

Vice President-Amanda Reid

Treasurer-Chris Campbell

Secretary-Andy Kenney

Board members-Kit Ardell, Shanta Eastman and Doug Campbell

 

Motion to adjourn was made by Mike Furlong at 7:55.
